Dr Bland is a consultant neurophysiologist at East Kent Hospitals Trust with longstanding interests in carpal tunnel syndrome and ultrasound imaging of nerve.

Ultrasound scanners can present the user with a bewildering array of knobs, buttons, switches and software controls. Labelling of these is not necessarily consistent across manufacturers. This talk aims to introduce the common controls found on virtually all scanners.
