Dr Ali had his training in clinical neurophysiology at Grey Walter department, Bristol. He is one of the most senior consultant physicians in clinical neurophysiology in Yorkshire. He is an expert in neuromuscular disorders and electrophysiology of vision. His special interests include peripheral neuropathy, neuromuscular junction disorders and myopathies.
