Dr Santiago Catania trained in the University of the Basque Country, Bilbao, Spain and soon after qualification he moved to the UK to commence his post-graduate education in general medicine. He subsequently obtained a training position in Clinical Neurophysiology at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), London, and during this period he was introduced to the treatment of spasticity and various types of dystonia with EMG guided botulinum toxin injections.
