Dr Katie Brennan qualified from University of Glasgow and undertook neurology training in the West of Scotland which included a PhD under supervision of Hugh Willison looking at glycolipid antibodies in neurological disease. After CCT she spent 2 years in the US working with the inherited neuropathy team in Iowa led by Mike Shy. As of 2016 she has have been back in the West of Scotland undertaking nerve, muscle and general neurology clinics in Glasgow and genetic muscle in Lothian. She is currently PI of a few trials in inflammatory neuropathy (CIDP, MMN) and well as myotonic dystrophy.
