In Europe, Borrelia burgdoferi and Tick-borne Encephalitis Virus (TBEV) are transmitted by the same vector, increasing the risk of co-infection. Whilst most B burgdoferi infections are symptomatic, most TBEV infections are asymptomatic. Diagnosis of neuroborreliosis and tick-borne encephalitis relies on clinical history paired with supportive imaging, serology, and CSF findings. Neurophysiology is often not performed despite peripheral nervous system involvement. Here we report the serial neurophysiology findings of a confirmed case of concurrent neuroborreliosis and tick-borne encephalitis with faciocervical radiculoneuropathy.
